What a pleasure it is and has been to serve as your CCRA President and to announce our 114th Annual Convention, located at the gorgeous Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA. It is such a glorious and welcoming venue, we easily agreed we had to come back. It is the perfect location and time of year to forge our future together. We are excited to embrace our foundation and perfect our tools and resources as we power full speed ahead into the future of our dynamic profession.

This year’s convention is designed with you in mind. We structured a streamlined program to make sure you have access to top-tier excellence in education, spectacular networking opportunities, and impactful speakers who will leave each of us feeling inspired.

This year, we have lined up talented speakers to discuss topics essential to our profession and then lead into our keynote speaker, Jefferson Fisher, a highly sought-after motivational speaker, trial attorney, argument expert and social media influencer who will help finesse your tactical style. We are confident you will leave feeling motivated and empowered.

Please also allow time to catch up with colleagues – or to meet new ones – to discuss work, tell stories, share strategies, and reward yourself for all of your hard work and determination. This past year has been spectacularly busy for every segment of our profession. Don’t forget to bask in some downtime and reconnect with yourself and with others.

CCRA is one of the nation’s oldest and largest stenographic associations, and the only California association representing all reporters in absolutely every unique facet of the profession. We are continuously working to advocate for the advancement and protection of our profession through special committees focused on the most current needs, as well as legislatively fighting for a secure future and the protection of all stenographers. Interested in becoming involved in committee work for future board positions? We would love to have you!

STUDENT SPONSORSHIP:

To be eligible for sponsorship, you must be a CCRA member or be specifically named by a sponsor.

If you are a current CCRA student member in need of sponsorship, click on the link below to apply.

All applications will be reviewed by the Support Our Students (SOS) Committee. Sponsorship determination will be communicated to the applicant 30 days before the Convention. Sponsorships will be awarded based on the availability of funds and students who have not previously been sponsored will take precedence. The SOS Committee will make every effort to match students up with sponsorship. However, if a student is not awarded a sponsorship, CCRA will contact you to arrange for payment of the registration fee.

If a student has been specifically identified to receive support from a sponsor, the dollar amount of the contribution will be applied to the student’s registration fee. The student will not be eligible for any further disbursement from the general sponsorship fund.

SPONSOR-A-STUDENT:

For our annual convention, CCRA asks our members and nonmembers to help underwrite the cost for students to attend the convention. You can donate to sponsor a specific student (by name) or donate to the general convention scholarship fund. You can sponsor their full registration or donate a higher amount to help pay for accommodations, travel, etc.
