Dear Colleagues, 

What an honor to serve CCRA and all of California’s court reporters. This year we have planned a fabulous, educational, and fun 113th Annual convention in Palm Desert at the gorgeous Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage to be held in person on September 22nd through the 24th. Given the beautiful location and time of year, we will be celebrating “Reach for the Stars: They Belong to You!” We all deserve a walk down the red carpet in celebration of this amazing profession. 

This year’s convention is packed full of highly-requested classes, speakers - educational as well as fun - including Mark Kislingbury sharing his world-record stenographic accomplishments, tips, and stories to motivate and embolden our skills. We have plenty of social opportunities planned to catch up with friends, colleagues, meet and make new connections, all while enjoying the resort and stars! 

NCRA’s soon-to-be past president, Jason Meadors, will be joining us to host a session called “Faster and Faster,” addressing the current and future landscape of our profession. This session will be full of information that is invaluable to all that attend. 

The Dine-Arounds consist of pre-set reservations to take advantage of the wonderful local restaurants so you can enjoy dinner at the end of the day. Bring your dancing shoes for a night reception and dance party!

CCRA is California’s largest association representing all reporters as well as one of the largest stenographic associations in the country. CCRA is continually working to advocate for the advancement and protection of our profession through special committees focused on the most current needs, as well as legislatively fighting for a secure future and the protection of all stenographers. Interested in becoming involved in committee work or future board positions? We would love to have you!

I, as well as CCRA’s team, am looking forward to sharing what is going to be an event not to be missed! Our venue this year is a fabulous family destination, so enjoy your time with family as well as taking advantage of a great convention weekend!
